How to vote

In person

  • Find your polling place by street address, not municipality.
  • First-time voters, or voters at a new polling place, must show ID. A PA driver’s license, passport, student ID or military ID works. So does a current utility bill, bank statement or paycheck showing name and address.
  • Voters who hold a mail ballot should bring it to surrender at the polls. If it is lost, they vote a provisional ballot.

By mail or in the elections office

  • Any registered voter can apply for a mail ballot, no reason needed.
  • Seal the ballot in the secrecy envelope, then in the outer envelope. Sign and date the outer envelope’s declaration.
  • Voters can apply and vote in person at the Elections Office, Administrative Center, One Quaker Plaza, Room 105, Stroudsburg, before the Oct. 27 deadline.
  • Drop-offs at polling places are not allowed. Only the voter may deliver a ballot, unless an agent is designated.
