How the Buzz gets made
Local Unfiltered is dedicated to fostering authentic, community-driven journalism through the combined power of “The Hive,” our innovative proprietary technology, and “The Swarm,” our network of local contributors.
Our goal is to both inform and entertain our readers by providing regular “The Daily Buzz” newsletters that directly serve and reflect the unique identity of each community we represent.
What goes into every edition
- Every source is opened and read, not just listed.
- Every story is checked against our full archive, so you do not get a repeat.
- Every claim is tied to a source link, or flagged when we cannot prove it.
The Hive
We use AI as our “pollen collector” to mine local sources at scale, flag inconsistencies, and surface perspectives.
The Swarm
Our “bees,” passionate local experts, ensure every story is verified, nuanced, and relevant to our communities.
Want to bring the Hive to your community?
We are looking for “Bees”: passionate, civic-minded neighbors and modern storytellers who are tired of “dry” local news and ready to make an impact.
