Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026Hamilton Township

Monroe County commissioners ratified two budget transfers, $30,700 and $56,997, at their Wednesday meeting and put off action on every bid until their Nov. 18 meeting. The transfers move money among departments, including $12,500 for emergency management electricity, $9,000 for a well pump repair and $12,655 in the jail from uniforms to capital spending. The board also accepted a $93.9K proposal from BSI Electronic Contractors for electrical work on a new storage tank on Manor Drive in Snydersville, and approved a $48.7K agreement with Northbound for a recovery accountability program with adult probation and parole. The chief clerk can now advertise a special meeting for the 2027 budget presentation and adoption (no dates were given). Go Collaborative gets the courthouse square Nov. 27, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., for the annual tree lighting. This account comes from our recording of the meeting. Names and figures will be checked against the official minutes once they are posted.
